I chose to pursue the MBA in International Management [course pages] with the University of London for several reasons. Firstly, I had studied abroad during my undergraduate degree and wanted to keep an international focus in my graduate studies. Secondly, I wanted a degree from a world-class institution, and the University of London is one of the most respected higher-education institutions in the world. Lastly, I wanted a distance learning program that was as thorough as a full-time program. I can say that the professors, coursework, and examinations tested my knowledge of the material completely, and provided a solid foundation for my career.
Distance learning is without doubt more challenging than full-time study. Finding and making the time to study can be difficult, especially with a demanding career. The key for me was taking advantage of weekends and late nights, trying to study every time I had a free minute.
Currently, I'm a Financial Advisor at one of the world’s largest wealth management firms. My MBA studies provided a solid foundation for many of the activities I perform on a daily basis.
I would recommend studying with the University of London External System to any professional who desires a truly world-class education from a world-class institution while continuing in their career. I believe there is no better choice in higher education available.
