Exam centres

Examinations are usually held world-wide at a number of centres.

Please read carefully through the relevant sections of the current Regulations and Student Handbook concerning "Effective date of registration" and "Assessment".

In order to register for an examination, you must complete an examination entry form (found at the bottom of the page), indicating clearly the subjects in which you wish to be examined.

For undergraduate programmes, the deadline for registering for examinations is 1 February.  For postgraduate programmes, the deadline is 1 February for May/June examinations and 1 August for October examinations. It is crucial that you submit your examination entry form by the deadlines for examination entry. Please note the University can accept no responsibility for making arrangements on your behalf.

If you are sitting the examination overseas you should request the appropriate entry forms from either the Overseas Examination Centre, directly from the University or from the link at the end of this page. Here is a list of some of the Examination Centres which have been approved by the University to conduct examinations.

We advise you to contact the Overseas Examination Centre now to discuss arrangements including local deadlines and administrative fees. Please note that Overseas Examination Authorities' deadlines for the return of completed entry forms are usually set well in advance of the University deadlines.

Once discussed, two copies of the completed entry form must be submitted to the examination officer in charge at the chosen Overseas Examination Centre. One must be countersigned and returned to the University, the second copy should be retained by the local testing centre for their records.

If you are sitting the examination in London, you should request the appropriate entry forms directly from the University or from the link at the end of this page. Your completed entry form must be submitted to the relevant Examinations Office by the deadline for the receipt of entries at the University.

If you are sitting examinations at a test centre outside of London you must also include a letter of confirmation from that centre when you return the Entry Form.

Please check the sections on Fees of your current Course Regulations for examination fees or re-entry fees payable to the University.

If you follow the procedures set out above, you will be entered for the examination and receive an Admission Notice/Timetable approximately 10 days before the start of the examinations. Starting dates are set out in the Course Regulations for your subject and also in the advance timetables.
