Introductory Booklist

The Introductory Booklist 2009 has been created using the information given in the most recent editions of subject guides.

Where the publisher of a textbook has issued a new edition to replace the edition listed in the subject guide, we give details of the new edition.

However, when a new edition of the subject guide is published the authors may recommend a different title entirely (rather than the new edition of the previous title) if they consider it more appropriate to do so.

Students should, therefore, bear this in mind when purchasing textbooks before they receive their study pack.

The Introductory Booklist 2009 [pdf: 12pgs, 85KB] includes some of the recommended books for LLB compulsory subjects [Intermediate and Part I subjects]: Criminal law, Public law, Common law reasoning and institutions and Elements of the law of contract, as well as Law of tort, Law of trusts, and Land law. This list will be of interest particularly to newly registered Diploma in Law students or those considering registration.
