For a University of London Postgraduate Degree

The University of London is one of the world’s leading academic institutions, internationally recognised as a centre of excellence.

Our alumni and academics shape the world that they inhabit. They include over 57 Nobel Prize winners and over 35 past or present Heads of State. The University comprises 19 world-class Colleges, many with famous names, and a number of acclaimed Institutes.

The University of London External System is for people who – either due to financial, career or family commitments – can not or do not wish to study at a University of London College full time on campus. With our courses, you can study independently or for some courses you can choose to study at a local teaching institution. For all courses you will be sent  comprehensive learning materials and for many courses you will also have access to online study resources, which allows you to work with fellow students and academics in London.

You can either browse our full list of undergraduate programmes (for holders of A' levels, or of equivalent qualifications) or masters programmes or use our 'Find a course' facility.

If you would like to apply for either an undergraduate or a postgraduate course, you can apply directly, there is also no need to go through the UCAS Clearing process.
