Scholarships for MSc Clinical Trials by Distance Learning

Applications are open for two scholarships to study the Distance Learning MSc Clinical Trials (CT) course commencing October 2010. These scholarships are offered by (i) GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and (ii) the IKP Centre for Technology in Public Health (ICTPH).

i) GSK

Funding

The scholarship covers full tuition fees to study the Distance Learning MSc Clinical Trials course, and a contribution towards local examination centre fees.

Criteria for the scholarship

This MSc Clinical Trials scholarship is available only to a student who is a national of a Low or Lower Middle Income country as indicated on: www.worldbank.org

Selection of the candidate

Scholarship applications will be considered by a sub-panel of the LSHTM Scholarships Committee. The successful candidate will be informed in June 2010. (The MSc course applications of those who are not short-listed will continue to be processed.)

ii) ICTPH

Funding

The scholarship covers 80% of tuition fees to study the Distance Learning MSc Clinical Trials course, and a contribution towards local examination centre fees.

Criteria for the scholarship

This MSc Clinical Trials scholarship is available only to a student who is an Indian national living in India, and who is able to provide evidence of provision of 20% of tuition fees (i.e. £2,005). Note: do NOT send any payment with the scholarship application form.

Selection of the candidate

Scholarship applications will be considered by a sub-panel of the LSHTM Scholarships Committee. ICTPH will join the panel to select from the shortlisted candidates. The successful candidate will be informed in June 2010. (The MSc course applications of those who are not short-listed will continue to be processed.)

Both GSK and ICTPH

All applicants must also ensure that they satisfy the standard criteria for admission to the MSc Clinical Trials course.

Those wishing to be considered for the scholarship should complete the MSc Clinical Trials scholarship application form [pdf: 3pgs, 70KB] and submit it, together with a complete MSc Clinical Trials Distance Learning application form [pdf: 8pgs, 107KB] (unless this has already been submitted) and the other required supporting documentation, to:
