BA Spanish and Latin American Studies

Structure

BA: 11 units (four Level 1 units, four Level 2 units, plus three Level 3 units). In order to obtain the degree you must pass in a minimum of nine units, including the compulsory units in Spanish language 1, 2 and 3. In any one year you may attempt examinations in a minimum of one and a maximum of four units. The class of degree awarded is determined on the basis of your performance in all 11 units taken.

Level 2 (4 units)
Spanish language 2 [130HS19]
AND three units taken from the lists of further introductory units and specialised options below (the selection may include one further introductory unit which was not offered at Level 1)
Level 3 (3 units)
Spanish language 3 [130HS20]
AND two further specialised options not previously offered at Level 2

* Students who demonstrate a native or near-native speaker competence in Spanish at the entrance test will be required to replace 'Spanish language 1' with either another introductory unit or a specialised option.
